The old pilgrims´ albergue at Roncevalles

(There is a new, modern albergue, with over 180 beds, that gets filled up first. 

Latecomers are shown to the old albergue, which was lovely.)

The multi-lingual mass (though mostly in Spanish) is very including; some pilgrims read from the bible in their mother tongue, all the pilgrims are asked to come forward to be blessed, the list of countries from where the pilgrims on that particular day come from is read out, everyone can take part in the communion etc.
