A stone in my pocket

There is a long tradition of bringing a stone from home and leaving it
at the cross at Cruce de Ferro,
at the end of the Meseta section of the Camino.

Some say it represents your sins or other burdens and
bring stones not only for themselves,
but for other people who are unable to do the camino.
Others say the symbolic act prepares you for
the final, and joyful stage, of your camino: the approach to Santiago de Compostela.

I have a huge collection of stones from my travels with E.
I shall bring one with me.
